Worm's Eye View

paula-mariebrucher

In this picture I used Lines as an element of art, because the worm's perspective gives the the picture depth. As an priciple of design I used Balance, because there is a sense of stablilty in the picture by having the tree in the middle of the picture. In addtion, you can see parts of a tree in every corner. Even if there is no tree in the left corner, there is a cloud which balance it out again.

In this picture I used Value as an element of art, because there is a large range of light clouds to the dark basketball hoop. Black and White and all the grays from the board in between. You can feel a sense of equal weight (Unity), because the hoop is centred in the middle of the picture and because it's symmetrical.

In this picture I used space as an element of art, because there is much more negative space (sky) than postive space in form of a street light. Because of the worm's eye view the street light looks very tall, as if it goes into the sky. As an principle of design I used emphasis, because the street light is a dark shape in a light composition. In addition to that the background conists one lighter grey shade (clouds) and nothing else.
